The 2017 Festival once again has one town and one country garden open to the public. Severe frosts, lack of rain and more recently, hail, have made gardening very difficult this season, and the Festival Committee appreciates the effort from the two garden owners.
Trevor and Chris Day’s garden is just a short walk from the lagoon, where stallholders and sculptures are situated is a lovely town garden which incorporates many hardy plants; and Mandy and Marg’s Sunshine Iris Nursery is just a short drive from Lockhart on the Wagga Road (145 Strong’s Lane), where over 300 iris and daylillies should be in bloom, creating a wonderful array of colour against the Lockhart landscape. Mandy’s garden will also be open to visitors.
Gardens are open from 10 am until 5 pm on Saturday and 10 am until 4 pm on Sunday.
For a gold coin donation on entry, visitors are invited to take a stroll around the gardens, enjoy morning or afternoon tea (for a small charge) and enjoy what the owners have created over the years.
See you there!
