Once again open to all artists in any media except sculpture, the Fine Arts Exhibition now has new categories to encourage entries from Year 11 and 12 students, and schools, both primary and secondary. As usual the exciting array of talented artists will be displaying, but these new awards should inspire those who are relatively new to paintbrush, camera, drawing tool, and clays.

2011 Spirit of the Land
SCHOOL ART COMPETITION
The 2011 SOL Committee would like to invite all primary and secondary school - age students to enter any of the following categories Fine Arts Categories at this year’s Festival;
Primary School-age
· Fine Arts competition - $25 1st prize to the winning entrant.
Enter your best drawing or painting, no larger than A4 size please.
Strictly one entry in each category. Free entry.
Secondary School-age
Years 7 –10
Fine Arts competition
- $50 1st prize to the winning entrant in painting/drawing
- $50 1st prize to the winning entrant in photography
Enter your best photo, painting or drawing. One entry only per category. Free entry.
Year 11 & 12 Fine Arts competition -
- $175 to the winning entrant Photography
- $175 to the winning entrant Drawing
- $175 to the winning entrant Painting
- $175 to the winning entrant Sculpture.
$2 Entry fee per category for Year 11 and 12 students.
All entries may be priced for sale during Festival.
Fine Arts Open Section
- $1000 any medium excluding photography
- $500 photography
Entry fee $25 per artist for 3 exhibits
